Ich trage einen großen Namen. Fast schon legendär sind die zuverlässigen ThinkPad-Notebooks von Lenovo, das ThinkPhone will von diesem Ruf profitieren. Es kommt allerdings noch mit Spitzentechnik aus dem letzten Jahr zum Preis eines aktuellen iPhones. Lohnt es sich? IBM hat den Notebook-Computer zwar nicht erfunden, aber mit seiner ThinkPad-Serie entscheidend zum Siegeszug der tragbaren Computer beigetragen. Mittlerweile gehört die Marke dem chinesischen Hersteller Lenovo, die ThinkPads sind aber weiterhin klassische Business-Notebooks mit langer Ersatzteilversorgung und modernen Materialien, wie etwa Carbon. Mit dem Lenovo ThinkPhone by Motorola kommt nun ein passendes Smartphone zu den beinahe schon legendären Buiness-Notebooks auf den Markt. Es soll mit besonderen Software-Features, einer Rückseite aus Aramid-Fasern und hoher Sicherheit vor allem bei Geschäftskunden punkten. Das SoC stammt allerdings aus der letzten Generation, während aktuell bereits Phones wie das Xiaomi 13 Pro mit noch aktuelleren Prozessoren auf den Markt kommen und von Features wie WiFi 7 profitieren können. Ist das ThinkPhone also schon zum Erscheinungstermin veraltet oder rechtfertigt es seinen Preis von knapp 1.000 Euro anderweitig? Finden wir es heraus.
