City Harvest apartments could trade affordable housing units for parking spaces

A Kansas City committee may prompt Flaherty & Collins Properties to scrap revisions to a $95.6 million River Market high-rise and return to a previous project iteration with fewer affordable housing units and more parking spaces. The city's Neighborhood Planning and Development Committee on Wednesday agreed to a two-week hold before a vote on development plans and rezoning for City Harvest, a 13-story, 300-apartment tower planned in place of a city-owned parking lot northwest of Fifth and Main streets.
