With fresh capital raise, Dallas cybersecurity firm looks to help organizations combat attacks

Before Tiffany Ricks founded her own cybersecurity firm, she worked with the United States Department of Defense as a security engineer and then worked with L3 Harris, formerly known as L3 technologies. During her time there, she helped manage an Air Force application where one day she witnessed tons of traffic coming in on that platform and then it went down and never came back up. 'I was so afraid. ... I didn't know much about cybersecurity then and I was just wondering, ‘What is going on here?' And it was called a denial of service attack,' explained Ricks, who is now the chief executive of HacWare.
